Worship Services Resume

Following guidelines from the government and Church of England, we are pleased to be able to resume our Sunday services in the church building, beginning Sunday 5th July. All are welcome! Social distancing and other precautions will be in place to minimise the risk of transmission of the virus.

Since April 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic our buildings had been closed and we had been conducting services online using 'Zoom' on our computers, Ipads and phones. We will continue to use 'Zoom' for some of our other services and prayer meetings.

We will use the main entrance as usual but please maintain the proper recommended distance from people outside of your own family group at all times before, during and after the service. Hand sanitiser will be made available. No refreshments will be served and the Sharland Hall remains closed.

When Communion services are offered, they will be conducted "in one kind only", which means that only the bread will be offered.

Current guidelines do not allow for the singing of hymns but other forms of music may be used. We have also had to put away the pew bibles and other books and leaflets, so everything you need for the service will be projected on the screen.

Our services and safety procedures will be reviewed regularly.

At this time, Ringlestone Hall remains closed for all activities including the monthly all-age service.

Weekly Pattern of Services

Due to restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Sunday services have resumed but we are not yet following the regular pattern of weekly services. Please refer to the church calendar for service information.

Under normal circumstances our main Sunday services would usually be held in St Faith's Church next to Brenchley Gardens, except the first Sunday each month when we hold our main service in Ringlestone Hall. Visitors and new members are warmly welcomed at every service. Most services finish with tea and coffee afterwards.
