Following guidelines from the government and Church of England, we are pleased to be able to resume our Sunday services in the church building. All are welcome! Social distancing and other precautions will be in place to minimise the risk of transmission of the virus.
Until recently our buildings had been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and we had been conducting services online using 'Zoom' on our computers, Ipads and phones. Although our main Sunday services will now be conducted in church, they will also be live-streamed via Zoom, and we will continue to meet on 'Zoom' for some of our other services and prayer meetings. Please get in contact if you would like to join.
We will use the main church entrance as usual but please maintain the proper recommended distance from people outside of your own family group at all times before, during and after the service. Hand sanitiser will be made available. No refreshments will be served and the Sharland Hall remains closed.
When Communion services are offered, they may be conducted "in one kind only", which means that only the bread will be offered, or by "simultaneous administration", which means the bread briefly touches the wine before being distributed.
Current guidelines do not allow for the singing of hymns but other forms of music may be used. We have also had to put away the pew bibles and other books and leaflets, so everything you need for the service will be projected on the screen.
Our services and safety procedures will be reviewed regularly.
Our monthly all-age service in Ringlestone Hall continues on the first Sunday of every month and follows the same safety precautions as above. We are not able to have the usual "café style" seating around tables, and no refreshments will be served. Please feel free to bring your own!
